The New Worlds Reading Initiative strives to improve literacy among Florida students by providing families with the tools to read and grow at home.
Get up to 63 books by the time kids graduate 5th grade!
All it takes is a 5-minute application (and there's no proof paperwork required).
Get a monthly package addressed directly to your child to spark excitement about reading.
Choose from fan-favorite Scholastic books in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, or braille.
Grow kids' reading confidence with fun and practical supporting activities.
Program Eligibility
80% of Florida's public and charter school students qualify.
Students qualify if they are VPK - 5th graders in a VPK program, public school, or charter school, who have tested below grade level in reading at any point since August 2021. Your child is still eligible even if their scores improve and there’s no income requirement to participate!

Fill out an application with your child's information, which language you prefer books in, and which sets of books you'd like to receive.
Check out our free resources for all families while you wait for our team to confirm whether your child is eligible.
You'll receive an email confirming whether or not your child is eligible. If eligible, you'll get 9 free books and activities delivered to your door until your child graduates 5th grade!
